Wow. What a start!
We opened the Thursday before first Friday, which, in a lot of ways, was a blessing and a curse. It helped us realize all the little things we had overlooked (to-go menus, juice for cocktails, how to reload the printers, how to maneuver two people behind a pencil thin bar). And it also hurt that we had so little time to work out the kinks for what ended up being our busiest night so far -- we tried our hardest to please everyone but we know we could have done better. But for the most part, everything was incredible! We've met so many awesome people so far!
That was nearly two weeks ago. And I can safely say, we've only improved since then: our guacamole is much more consistent and tasty; we know how to load the printers; and, we've begun sourcing more of our produce locally. Specifically, we now carry Smoking Goose chorizo and are looking forward to doing business with other local producers here very shortly.
I also wanted to thank all the tequila aficionados in Fountain Square. You guys are awesome! We've cracked so many bottles of stuff none of us had ever tried before. And don't forget about the beer. Fountain Square Brewing Co. has been awesome. Our Fountain Square tap takeover last Thursday was a lot of fun. We went through two 1/6 barrels each of the Preacher's Daughter Amber and the Backyard Porter!
Anyway, we are constantly trying to improve, and we look forward to meeting with you. Our staff is very personable, and we will try our hardest to make sure you all have a good time.
Stay in touch, and let me know if there is anything I can do to improve your experience here at La Margarita Fountain Square.
Take it easy amigos!

Thursday: Fountain Square Brewing Co. Tap Takeover
All their pints will be just $3, and we will have nachos on special for only $5. Should be a good time to talk beer and get to know everyone.
By the way, those four offerings will be their porter, amber ale, blonde, and pale ale. Can't wait.
See you there,
Jon
